Summer clothes package for children
In the municipality of Vaals we believe that all children should grow up in a safe and healthy way with opportunities. Sometimes financial help is much appreciated. An outline of financial help is included in the folder 'Participating in Vaals on a low income'. The brochure can be found on the website of the municipality.
We would also like to provide some extra comfort, which is why you receive this letter.
Free summer clothes package
All children aged 0 to 18 years from families on a low income can put together a free clothes package by themselves. For this project we work together with the STOP Child Poverty Foundation (Dutch: Stichting STOP Kinderarmoede).
Below are the amounts we mean by low income. If your income is currently higher, please contact us. You can do this by calling 043-3068568.

What’s included in the package?
The package includes clothes, such as a proper jacket, pants/skirt, a pair of shoes and toys. The clothes and shoes are new and of popular brands. Depending on the stock, also other enjoyable items are included in the package.
How does it work?
Would you like to make use of this offer? This is how it works:
- Go to www.stichtingstop.shop
- You will be directed to the registration page, where you can sign up. You will be guided through the process.
- Once you have signed up, you/your child can put together a clothes package for each child through the web shop.
- Each child has its own code for an individual clothes package.
- The promotion is valid until August 30, 2024. After Augustus 30, 2024, you will NOT be able to order a package.

Your child's code
You can find the unique code to order your child's clothes package in the letter you received from the municipality. Did you not receive a letter and do you think your children are eligible for a free clothing package? Then please contact the municipality of Vaals.
After ordering, the clothes package is sent by the DHL parcel service to your address. DHL will send an email with a track-and-trace code so you know when the package will be delivered. This takes up to three weeks maximum.

Didn't receive a code?
Then send an email to wijvaals@vaals.nl with the following information:
- income;
- name and address;
- name and date of birth of the child(ren) (child must be registered in Vaals).
One code will be provided per child. If you qualify for a clothing package you will still receive the letter with codes.
